Terms of Service
Version 2026-07-30 · Effective July 30, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and KidSlots. The most important thing in them is this: KidSlots is a booking platform, not a childcare provider, and we do not vet the providers listed here. Choosing a provider is your decision, and this document explains what we do and do not do to support it.
Accepting these terms
By creating a KidSlots account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are using KidSlots on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
We record which version of these terms you accepted and when. If we change them materially, we will publish the new version here and ask you to accept it.
What KidSlots is — and is not
KidSlots lets childcare providers publish their availability and lets parents find, book and pay for care. The care itself is provided by the provider, under a relationship between you and them. KidSlots is not a party to it.
We do not vet providers. KidSlots does not inspect facilities, interview staff, run background checks, or verify the license number a provider states. What we do is show you that number, exactly as the provider entered it, so that you can check it yourself with the agency that issued it. A provider appearing on KidSlots is not an endorsement, a certification, or a representation by us that they are licensed, insured or suitable.
Choosing a provider — including verifying their license, insurance, references and suitability for your child — is your responsibility, and we encourage you to do it before you book.
Your account
Give accurate information and keep it current. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@kidslots.com if you believe someone else has access to it.
If you invite a co-parent or guardian to share access to your child, you are granting them the ability to see and act on that child's bookings and records. You can revoke that access at any time.
If you are a parent
- Accurate child information. Allergies, medical notes and pickup authorizations are used by the adults caring for your child. Keeping them accurate and current is your responsibility.
- Bookings. A booking is a request to that provider on the terms they publish, including their cutoff times, capacity limits and cancellation policy.
- Payment. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for bookings you make, and for recurring invoices where you have enabled automatic payment. Amounts due, and any KidSlots service fee, are shown before you confirm.
- Cancellations and refunds. Refund eligibility follows the cancellation policy of the provider you booked with, shown on their profile at the time you book. Where a refund is due, we return it to the payment method you used and reverse the corresponding payment to the provider.
- Disputes about care. Complaints about the care given are between you and the provider, and — where the concern is regulatory — the licensing authority for your state. Tell us as well: we can remove a provider from KidSlots.
If you are a provider
- You are responsible for your own compliance. Licensing, staffing ratios, background checks, insurance, health and safety, mandated reporting and recordkeeping are yours to meet. KidSlots does not perform, review or assume any of them.
- Accurate listing. Your business name, address, license number, rates, capacity and policies must be accurate and current. Stating a license number you do not hold is grounds for immediate removal.
- Subscription. Listing on KidSlots requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually in advance, and renewing automatically until you cancel. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Cancelling stops future renewals; fees already paid for the current period are not refunded unless the law requires it.
- Payouts. Booking payments, less any KidSlots service fee, are transferred to the connected payout account you set up with our payment processor. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details and for your own taxes.
- Refunds and reversals. Where a booking is refunded under your cancellation policy, or reversed by the card issuer, the corresponding transfer to you is reversed. You authorize us to reverse those transfers and to recover amounts owed from subsequent payouts.
- Families' information. Information about children reaches you to let you provide care. Use it for that, protect it, and handle it in line with the law that applies to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- impersonate anyone, or create an account for a child, a business you do not represent, or a person who has not authorized you;
- book for, or attempt to access records of, a child you are not a parent, guardian or authorized caregiver of;
- post content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or that includes a photograph of another family's child without their consent;
- write or solicit reviews that are not genuine first-hand accounts of care actually received;
- probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the platform, or attempt to access data you are not authorized to see;
- use KidSlots to arrange anything unlawful, or in breach of a licensing condition.
Content you upload
You keep ownership of what you upload — photos, documents, messages, reviews and listing content. You grant KidSlots permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you and the people you have authorized to see it. You confirm you have the right to upload it, including the right to share any photograph of a child.
We may remove content that breaches these terms, and may retain copies where the law requires it.
Availability of the service
We work to keep KidSlots available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect bookings or payments already made.
Disclaimers
KidSlots is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We make no representation about the qualifications, licensing, insurance, safety, conduct or suitability of any provider or any parent using KidSlots, and we do not supervise the care that is given.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KidSlots is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the platform or out of any care arranged through it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to KidSlots is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for our own fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify KidSlots against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, the care you provide or receive, or content you upload.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@kidslots.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that presents a risk to a child or another user, or where we are required to. Where safety allows, we will tell you why.
Terms that by their nature should survive termination — payment obligations, content permissions, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity — survive it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always published here with its version date. Material changes take effect after we notify you, and continuing to use KidSlots after that means you accept them.
